The Kanawha Community includes the neighborhoods of Kanawha, Mountain Shadow and Gauley River, totaling about 250 homes.The purposes of the Kanawha Community Association is to maintain and beautify the main Kanawha entrance. This includes maintaining and improving the stucco walls, landscaping and beautification with seasonal color, as well as paying for utilities for the sprinkler system and uplighting. We believe that keeping our entryway as attractive as possible enhances our property values and elevates and promotes the image of our neighborhood. A portion of dues are also allocated to social events in the neighborhood.

KCA's annual dues are $150 but we'd appreciate any additional funds you can provide! $150, $250, $400 and $500 are the most common contributions.

FYI: The Kanawha Community Association (KCA) is not associated with the Smoke Rise Community Association (SRCA). SRCA's $40 annual dues primarily support maintaining the chimneys scattered all around Smoke Rise, not the Kanawha entrance.
